Meet the Staff
Brandy grew up in Southern California where she received her Registered Dental Assistant license. Although she enjoyed being chairside and assisting, her passion was to work in the dental front office. Several years later she was managing the Dental practice and put all her passion into supporting her patients. After 20 years Brandy moved to Arizona and joined our team as our office manager in December 2016. She is very dedicated to her patients and tries to make everyone’s experience personal. “Use each interaction to be the best, most powerful version of yourself.”-Marianne Williamson.
Certified Dental Assistant/ Sleep Coordinator
Nichelle was born and raised in Orange County, California. After her Nana suggested she look into dental assisting, she took her first class at Orange Coast College and was hooked! She went on to earn her degree and has been working in the dental field since 1991. Nichelle joined Modern Family Dentistry in 2004 and has been an integral part of the team ever since. She holds certifications in CPR and infection control and is a Certified Dental Assistant. She also specializes in the treatment of sleep apnea. The aspect of dentistry she most enjoys is the great variety of work that she encounters on a daily basis. “Dentistry is not just about teeth, but about the overall health of the patient”. When she is not in the office, Nichelle enjoys spending time with her family and hiking.
Debra knew she wanted to be a dental assistant at age 11 after having a bad experience with a mean dental assistant. She didn't want anyone to feel that way so she started working as a dental assistant after graduating college in 1992. She joined our office in 2014 and has been helping patients achieve a healthy smile that will last a lifetime. When she is not at work, she enjoys time with her husband and two boys. She also enjoys painting, scrapbooking, and hiking.
Registered Dental Hygienist
JoAnna grew up in Colorado and spent a lot of time at the dentist as a kid. Even with proper home care, she still developed a lot of cavities. Her wonderful dentist inspired her to go into the dental field. She became a dental assistant in 1999 and joined our office in 2004. She wants her patients to understand the connection between dental health and overall health and wellness. Outside of the office, she also enjoys volunteering at her children's school, working out, cooking, crafting, and being with family.
Monica moved to Arizona in 2010 to pursue her dream of being in the medical field. About halfway into her senior year of high school she fell in love with the dental field. Since then, she has spearheaded training determined to fulfill her passion of walking alongside patients in their oral and overall health. She enjoys involvement in the community and volunteering her time to help others. Monica joined our office in 2011 as a patient and then became part of our team in early 2017. Outside of her time in the office her hobbies are hiking, taking frequent weekend trips and baking.
